When ever i try to connect to The Republic it comes up with
"The instruction at "0x00552141" referenced memory at "0x060d8000". The memory could not be "written".
and
****Error Message****
***ERROR in .atm model file Data/Models/Misc/boulder.atm.

Any idea what they mean?
Problem connecting to The Republic
There's something odd with The Republic... I get the same crash, very occasionally, but usually I can log back in with no troubles. It's one of those annoying ones I can't even capture when running the debug client (it's a directx thing, I think). It seems to happen with some versions, not with others: as mit's currently working on the next update I'd just suggest waiting to see what that does :)
The file thing isn't important, just annoying: if I recall mit is working on a solution to that too. It's something to do with the file transfer system, I think.

if its directx related, maybe it has to do with a display setting on the world.
i remember a long while ago when bubba had his world, thier was a player that would get an illeagle error whenever they joined. then when zoric reset they had the problem thier aswell. it turned out that the sky renduring mode was crashing the guy.

When it's ready.
In the meantime, you could try changing graphics options: run the game, hit F1, go to Options, then Graphics Options. Things to try include turning off building shadows & water reflections, I'd have thought. You could also try turning off sounds (in Options/General Options). No idea if that'll help but it might be worth a try. Also make sure you're running in 32 bit mode if your graphics card'll do it.
Do you have any problems on other worlds?
