Beta Patches

Why is it when I dl a patch and i go to start it then its still the same version. Can someone help or post another full version with the betta patch alrdy in it so people whon have trouble like me can use the beta patch.

First, you must download the latest patch from the official website to your computer.
Second, you should now open the file and extract the contents.

Here's where a lot of people screw up so listen up!

Quick troubleshooting: If you can't open the .zip file download free software that can view these files right like zipgenius. (http://www.zipgenius.it/)
If you see a "extract" button then chances are you are using the built-in .zip viewer in windows me & XP. If you are simply drag all the files to the desktop to extract the patch.

Now you should have the patch contents on the desktop. (Or wherever you put it if you’re really lazy)

Double click My computer and double click the (C:) drive. If you don't see a (C:) drive go to your drive that holds your programs. (It can be any letter so if you don't know, do some clicking until you find a folder called "Program files")

Once you've done that, double click program files.
Find "Theuniversal" folder and open it.
Double click clients.
Drag everything from the extracted contents to the "clients" folder.

If done correctly you will get a prompt saying "Do you wish to overwrite?" or something to this context. Click yes to all. You’re done! If a new patch comes out just do the same thing all over again.

posting full versions instead of patches would have a signifigant impact on both the download you need to do and the ammount of bandwidth the site uses.

Well kirby I dont take it to desktop I use winzip and extract it into the gfolder exactly and it askes me if I want to over write will that make a diff?

gfolder? I unno what you mean.
But if you get something like what you just said that should be good enough. (Unless you extracted the file somewhere twice besides the "Clients" Folder)
You can check The Universal's Version under the about sub-menu on the main-menu.
