PLEASE HELP ME

Post by barrackaiser »

I am a bit desperate now because the computer that I originally played universal on (and had zeDenomikaiser with about 20000s in riches) has completely packed up now and i can't play as zedenomikaiser. Is there any way of playing as zeden on another PC?

Well...If you use the Exact Infomation (Galaxy Username,Pasword, Username shouldn't matter...) I would think it'd still work.

I've Reinstalled Windows many times,Used the same Galaxy Name and Password and had no problems at all...

Did I say Username? My Bad. I ment Nickname Doesn't Matter.

Hrm. I wouldn't think a diffrent computer would matter for verifcation seeing as Adding Hardware changes your Hardware ID(Reintstalling windows thing...)Same thing goes with IP Adress,Mine seems to change on it's own and loging in still works after an Re-installation of windows...

Try again with The exact Username,Nickname shouldn't matter... That's what I ment to say,Soon as I relised this I came back as soon as I could. :|

Also for some reason,The first try, even if the info is right,is always an access denined error, cancel, connect again and all should be fine (Maybe except for the galaxy connection error which seems to be nothing since after that it says "Galaxy connection Active")

no it still doesnt work. maybe I should just let my character die, lose my wealth, and stop playing altogether. That is a failsafe solution :)

Is the new patch good?

Post by Hija »

As soon as I tried using the new patch 1.43.4 I kept getting a connection refused error. worked just fine before on 1.42.5 a few minutes before I installed the new one. I have tried using another computer. if you think I should try on other computers I could install this on about 70 compatible computers and tell you how things turn out. I love my school. dislike the firewalls. =-)

But do you already have an account set up. I already had a rich account on one PC but i just want to know whether i can run that on another machine. Will it make a multi so that if i do fix my other PC i can't get back on?

changing your computer and reinstalling windows is pretty much the same thing to the game. once you reinstall windows, its a different windows instilation, just like being on a different computer.

anmyway, if you try to log in a character on a different pc/windows instilation, the galaxy will say connection refused. this is because it still remembers you with the old pc. its not a big deal though, because if you click cancel, then highlight Andromeda in the galaxy list, then click attempt connection, it should connect you to the galaxy with no trouble at all.

so if you do that.. with the 1.43.6 patch .. it still says 'Connection Refused'?

well, least its changed a bit from the original problem :)

Could be any one of a number of potential problems there.. from video setups to um, having the window disappear off screen or something.
I'd suggest a reboot followed by a full reinstall of 1.43.6 to a fresh, clean folder (i.e. delete your entire 'TheUniversal' folder and start again).

Hmm Really? I've did a 95,98SE,ME,and XP installation and I've gotten through the Universal on the same PC. (I used MultiBoot on some installtions) It's always the first connection is refused but after that,I get through...So does windows installations really count as a diffrent computer? Then using the same login info method should work fine since I've used it a couple or so times.
