i'm posting this in general rather than announcements so everyone who wants to can reply.
considering that the old weapon system has been completely revamped, i'm considering editing the old weapons manufacturing and retail buildings, updating them to the new numbering system rather than the old naming convention.
however anyone that has an island with weapons in the economy, the items that this building sold would *drastically* change. instead of selling, say, tommies grenades and evil eyes, you would find that building suddenly producing and selling weap 3-8, or some such thing.
since there are so many weapons now, this is also tricky...is the general concensus that the war manufacturers should simply sell more weapons per building (there would still be a number of new buildings that would be tacked on to the end), or would it be better to start with a whole new set, which has few weapons per building, which is a bit more fair but makes the size of the building dat larger (slower time for users sucking down that file, which is currently about 30k).
i've got a bunch of auto-weapons facs i'm builiding this evening, so i'll give you guys a few days to decide perhaps what you think is best.
important - oceanic island owners with weapons and war items
it would still be up to the island owner to decide which buildings go onto the island ark, this is just the big building list.
an interesting idea though... perhaps i could change it so that the building that used to sell e.e.'s still does, but now of course e.e.'s are called "weapon 4". so that building might sell weap 8, weap 2, weap 4 or something.
that's a possibility, then shoving the remaining weaps into a different entry, and people could use it or not as they see fit.
