i say it has a few good months left, i dont think a reset will fix or cure any problems people may be having there, its an easy ass econ, although somethings do need to be reorginized to be sure that all of the buildings remain relevant. namely woodmills.
that and there is an all around problem of new players just not realizing that tua ceti star system is even there, much less know how to get there. system travel needs a little more "blantent" explaining, kinda like the "big ass sign" thing. I just think there 2 realy great times during an islands life span, one is the first couple weeks and 2 is the later parts of the evolution when your filthy rich and can build and buy whatever you want when ever you want. i dont know... your gonna have to give a damn good arguement, alot of people are just starting to get it together there and arnt gonna like the idea of losing the past couple months work. there will be new worlds soon anyways.

tell me im wrong go ahead, convince me.

nah, it doesen't need a reset.
thiers still plenty of money to be made thier. thiers barly any food or fuel industry going.

i'd say its no longer in the hyper profitable new ages, but its in its middle ages about now. stuff is slowing down as the economy balences itself out with its current players, but the economy isen't stagnateing yet.

Doesn't need a reset, what it needs are new players, and people owning businesses that buy and sell at comparable rates. Hell, currently the only lumbermill that's selling requires a 2-3s loss per batch of wood, that's in addition to the cost of buying the final product, and not counting the cost of stocking the only tree farm that actually sells trees. Given that nearly every building requires wood to make, and then over time to repair, this is a reasonably large problem.

I dont happen to think it needs a reset, I've only just started, and while although it would of been nice to start in the fresh "boom" economy stage, there's still a lot going for the world that can be changed. Why is it when things start to settle down, people want a reset? the whole point is that new players will come along (I started 3 days ago) and try to shift the balance of power, I for one will enjoy taking over some aspects which some familys dominate at the moment.

I can see why the island might need a reset, but there's nothing worse than settling down and having to start over, it's not fair on newer players, and i'm sure a lot of people (including me) have hated premature resets. No offense to Zoric, but one of it's main downfalls was the ammount of problems that cropped up during its lifespan, probably very stable now, but it used to have it's rough times and too regular resets, and it put people off. (Sorry Zar :) )

A question..... will buildings be auto wiped when the health bar reaches max? that kind of thing keeps an island stable, in the long run of course you can't have buildings falling apart every week....I say give it longer, It might become one of those "underground" type worlds, where all the old hermits tell of tales of burried gold and suchlike....

I say give it longer for the sake of us new players, let us make our money like you have, and maybe when the island starts to really drop in interest, give it a reset.

Sorry, I vote against it 8)

most zorics too regular resets were because most of the players wanted a reset after the busy island quickly overgrew :P

agreed. i seen zoric from zoric 1 on and off, but the last reset we had when it was like what.. zoric 8 or sum? when we just started using this universe junk, the island was reset once again for some reson (cant remember why). but after the first dislike of not being able to get to it for a long time cz it was in a diff galaxy, but then i just started up and gained some $ and was just aboot to get into the car buiz and it was resetagain. the was the demise of my playing on zoric for that period of time. i agree it was a huge turnoff. but now after a little time away from the game because of my new job, i hear zoric 9 is here and stable. (very good to). and me personally ive loved zoric better than ne place else since zoric 1. its had its ups and downs but its my fav. but now plantatia looks damn good now too  im currently playing there (just started yesterday thoe) .....
Just some useless input from me.. :P

hmm...
zoric 8 went away because of the virus i had gotten and needed to reformat my hard drive.
zoric 7 got restarted 2 weeks after start, and about a month later left because of the constant hardware problems that occured in september and late october. i basicly ran out of PCs to use before being able to do anything with the island to save it.
