Yeh, there seems to be a bug with small mode (F1) from windowed mode at the moment. Solution: don't hit F1 for now, or play in fullscreen or windowed, according to which is more stable.

Mit, assumin u still can't get the debug info for this DX stuff, i'll see if I can replicate it and send ya the usual screenies.

will look into to this today/tomorrow - its always an awkward one to track down but with any luck i'll have a patch for this available at the weekend.

I've just sent ya a mail on this mit - after much feckin about I got it to debug the crash. I think :)

In my experience, F1 is fine from in-game, either windowed or fullscreen. The problem for me is on F9 from the front end - windowed seems ok, but fullscreen F9 from the front end causes all sorts of problems.

Actually, on the frontend, it works perfectly for me.
But, when going to windowed, and then going back, it just crashes.

i actually had problems at home last night with small mode, and then its fine today at work. Gawd i hate bugs like this

i've been having a vague suspicion it might be big-->mouse-mode-enabled--->small--->big, but haven't tested that theory too aggressively.
