before you crawl back into that blackhole/mudpit you spend weeks at a time hiding in could you atleast answer this question hedge...this is basically the ony missing piece I need to put the old roja back together...If you don't have it I can always write my own but I'd rather not.

aye lookin good, lookin good, had a stroll around and didn't manage to break much of anythin even when sauced quite well 8)

as for the books and manual, i'll have to get back to you this evening. more than likely it's on the drive that went *zap* and prompted the worlds going offline in the first place.

i just picked up one of these lil beauties:
http://www.buffalotech.com/products/pro ... egoryid=19
(the 1.0tb model)

and i'm gonna give a shot at buying up every stupid bit of disk rescue software i can find, and slapping anything that can be saved on there.

soooo. yeah. you didn't need to know that, but you weren't using that minute of your life anyway, right? right. all settled then.

holy crap. 1k for a terrabyte?

hmm...that sounds expensive, but then again not too expensive for being standalone.
could also just get a cheap barebones pc, toss a few ide or raid cards in it, and buy the drives. oh, and yank the drive holders out of trash picked comps to hold the drives and mount them to the inside of the barebones pc case.

on a better note, hedge, a program i've always used and has saved my worlds several times from hard drive failures is Stellar Phoenix. it has editions for CDFS, FAT and NTFS and any combo of them plus some other file systems. its a bit expensive to uby, but you can download a free demo that wont recover data to see if the drives are good enough for it to access, then get the full program *cough* elsewhere

(please note, this post is not saying you should download the program for free off e-mule or some other file shareing service :P)

$799's arguably not /quite/ a grand. if you run through the spec sheet it's pretty worth it. and it looks slick as hell on top of it all.

anyway, books:

http://www.lespritdelescalier.com/Text.txt

throwing that in the data folder of the world and unzipping should sort it all out.

what's the name of the world btw? i'll have to come visit sometime :]

The book name had something to do with bed time stories I think...can't find the original item name let me try something see if I can get a hold of it...didn't work...

World name is chikenworld...hence the name of my post in the world setup page...you can't visit though...problem related to my using a 56k modem

and that link to the text files bring up your website with a page not found thing...

oh right, sorry:

http://www.lespritdelescalier.com/Text.zip

oh right, bedtime story. yeah. i was gonna just write some silly bedtime story or paste some random kid stories in, and change 'em once every few weeks or so. it wasn't gonna be anything terribly game-specific, just a bit of fun :]
