You'll get an entry out of me before the time's up. Although you went and shot my enthusiasm in the foot by throwing the date back that far.

BEWARE MY BELATED RETURN, POTENTIAL ENTRANTS.

ok lads, sorry about that. I had had a bad week as well - being cheated on, emotional blackmail, lack of sleep, bad days at work, and my PC collapsing. That was just the icing on the cake.

Sux to be me.

<gos off to try and make another movie>

Hedgehog, I would if I could.
The pictures are only for the Gyruss prizes, and my computer isn't fast enough for video capturing.

Have you seen the only movie entry (well, for now)? It's got no movement in it. Just a few screenshots put together.

the prizes aren't only for gyruss
first line of the first post on the first page reads
[quote = Leigon]I will be awarding one lucky winner with the chance to win a one year subscription to a server pack!...(one years subscription to the server program so you can host your own world) [/quote]

i'm sure it doesen't mater if the winner gets somebody else to host for them.

c'mon guys, all ya gotta do is go into your favorite world, find a pretty scene or have a friend do some zany hijinks, and hit the printscreen key.

then open up microsoft paint (start--->run--->pbrush--->[okay], or in the accessories menu off your start menu)

and go to edit---> paste, or press [ctrl]+v to paste the image in.

save it as a jpg (file--->save as, select "jpeg" as the file type in the bottom dropdown menu of the dialog that pops up) and save it somewhere easy to find (your desktop, root of your C drive, your "my documents" folder, whatever).

need a place to upload your images to? here's a list of free image hosting services:
http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-image-hosting.php

once you've got the image uploaded, use bbcode to insert the image into your post, or just paste the url and leigon can click on that to check it out.

prices are going up, so really no excuse to let this pass you by, as anyone who can play the game has the necessary tools and opportunity to enter the contest.

edit: bonus tip, if you have a windows keyboard (the kind with the "windows" key between ctrl and alt that pops up the start menu for you), then you may also have the context menu key: it's the key that has what usually looks like a menu graphic on it. it's usually on the right hand side, one key left from ctrl.

press that to get rid of a lot of the GUI and enter "screenshot mode". press it again to return to standard mode (note to mit: some of the newer gui (weapons dialog, flight controls) is still drawn)

edit-edit: obviously this is the bare minimum type entry...if you've got something fancier in mind, by all means don't let the above stop ya :)

The wording is actually pretty explicit in the original post: "Or Produce stunning artwork of scenes in A-Tractor already avalable for a smaller prize of 2000s and a mansion in gyruss when it is fully operational. "

So you'd better edit that to make it look like photos are included in the main server prize (if that's the intention) if you want to get people pumping out the exploding monkey Photoshops.

All you have to do is produce a 30 second movie dedicated to A-Tractor made with streaming screen capture software. (make it look dramatic, professional, put some music in it *pretty much like an advert/intro movie*) MUST BE NO MORE THAN 10MB!!
