good points gavin, very good points.

i'm contributing to it because it will effect the overall player base. my opinions and statements are based on the results that i have seen from all the past world resets and the previous space reset. along with stuff that older players have said.

with that said, if you want to look at it along the lines of active space players (which i do agree with %100), then anybody who doesn't play often should be contributing. players who play daily or several times a week and are busy working on there character are far more effected by something like a space reset then somebody who only pops by for an hour or two every week or so and don't actually do anything but chat. these players are the ones who are usually rich and don't want to loose the stuff they don't even have a use for since they don't even play, and they can continue doing what they do despite a reset, it wont really effect them.

also, what makes you think i didn't used to play space? i have taken part in many space fights, and aren't exactly flying around in a shuttle with no money.

actually pretty much ALL other mmorpgs do have resets while there in development.
and hey, this game is still being developed, new and sometimes major things are constantly being added, bugs/exploits (that may have been used by some people to get where they are) found and fixed etc. :P

Also very good points zar, and just to clarify, i did know that you used to space-hop around quite a bit, but i believe that was quite a while ago, correct?

Anyway, I do know what your talking about, with rich players etc. but doesn't all games have rich players? When this game gets past it's v1.01.0 mark, there will still be rich players who probably will be able to buy and have every item on the game. But surely, it isn't that bad of a deal?

I've been helping people in space recently, and once they get shown how to do things, they actually enjoy it. But i think new features would keep them here longer, because most play games with Private Messaging (none in space), clear items and level upgrading (none in TU), lots of things to do or gain when exploring (i.e. fighting and gaining points or whatever - none in TU). The list goes on, and i understand why i reset should happen, but to be honest, i think now isn't the time. What we need is more features, get player's to test them well, have a bucket of new features every few versions of the game (if possible) and keep a cycle going. Also maintaining existing features like Fightnight and the System Guardian Feature would be interesting, i believe that there was dozens of people willing to run a system.

So yea, also good points zar, and i can see why your saying that. But personally, i think we should wait and keep developing for now.

Yeah you are right, I forgot that this game was in development when I was writting that.
