Doesn't tell me much other than you've probably got a file missing that the server isn't expecting ever to be missing.
Can you try to keep your world online for a while and i'll try to get in to debug.

Ok, omni.. your one is a bit more explainable. Can you tell me what landscape rendering mode you use please? I probably broke that. (sorry).

Shouldn't be hard to fix.

thats how mine looked at first all see thru and stuff then i reloged and it all whent sideways from there

oh for got to add i was useing auto gen rendering mode 2 for the land scape

mm.. oddly autogen rendering mode 2 works fine for me. just tried it on genesis and its surprisingly effective. mmm.

Auto-Texture Generation Mode 2.

Relogging doesn't fix the issue. Neither resetting the world, reloading the landscape, respawning, etc...

The Lanscaping Mode setting is set to 0, but I believe we don't use that setting at all.

mm, im starting to wonder if the patch got the wrong executable or somethin.. mode 2 still works fine for me.
Can you confirm all the landscape settings up to 'sky rendering mode' are 0 ? If anything isnt can you let me know please.

Omni, i'd like to try your world but dont see anythin pinging atm. is that expected?

Problems lead to more problems, no idea why it's not showing online for you. The reroute and port forwarding are a-o-k. Think it was Stimutacs who was having a similar problem, his world showed online to some, and offline to others. Would be good if he could confirm.

got the full install for the client to work but this error keeps happening when i try to install the world program so i cant get my world back till u reles a patch with the missing file thats causeing it

also a secand error that says axact same thing scept it says it caused from line: 77 as well as the line 47 1 in the image


if that helps find the problum

A few notes before I leave this thread to Blaze again (sorry mate).

0. I did call it a night.

1. The world is online again. Wonderful.

2. I know some chunk files are huge, and will prolly need http. I'll work on that.

3. The patch Mit provided solved my issue.

Ah Blaze, i've just noticed on your image that you've got the World.exe in program files/the Universal/Clients

World.exe should be in (and should be run from) Program Files/The Universal.

Clients folder is for the client patch - i.e. where TheUniversal.exe should be.

i down loaded the bata5 patch and installed a fresh copy in the main tu folder of the world program and i ran it i get to the page to enter my name and the name of my world and all well i enter the info and hit next but i still get the line 77 error.

Then you didnt install the world there in the first place.
Where exactly did you previously run the world.exe from? Wherever that was (and hence wherever theres already a serverconfig.txt, a Data folder, a maps folder etc) - thats where you'll need to put the patch and run it from.

i tryed that first but its ok i found a work around i think it was not wrighting the .isl becase when i did a full uninstall i deleated all files and when i tryed to reinstall it started doing that but i found a backup isl file on a flash drive i got and pasted it in and its working now

I tried to log into civilizations just now, asked me to dl the new patch, which i did, and I get the dxdiag error now too. haven't touched my world yet, just trying to log in to civilizations.
