No, I don't handle it - Mit does. But it's mostly automatic - all donations sit in an account until we need to pay for stuff (like webhosting). So while I don't see the money, and neither does Mit really, it's all still much appreciated and very useful :]

well aslong as your happy about that, but you should definatly come to some arangement over that bill tho, plus just an idea, to help out, maybe offering something other than naming a system might entice more people to donate, (ignore me if you guys have already thought about this)

when it comes down to it. a pc doesn't cost all that much to run. unless its a high end pc, but even those rarely use there max amount of power.

for example (based on the US national average of $0.10120 per KWH)
my server pc has a 250 watt psu. if it did manage to use it all, it would only cost $221 a year. only $4.25 a week. considering that the pc doesn't use nearly all that power that the psu can supply.

according to this calculator: http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine
my server pc is only using 108 watts of power. actually its using less then that since the calculator can't go below 60% system load

assuming its using 108 watts, it is only costing me:
$0.26 per day
$1.84 per week
$95.48 per year

less then the cost of many pay to play games :P

fooli, since your running the galaxy, why not enjoy the game?
come in and play space, or play some worlds.
