Probably an issue with your client.
If I correctly diagnose your problem, the solution is quite simple:
Locate your client's directory and input it in your server options in the "Game Directory" box.
Hope I can be of help, because I am the one usually asing for it.

"When I open the DMZ port other people can access my world"
"but when its not [open] they can't"
then leave it open
drama, no clue about netgear routers. i've never had one.
its probably somewhere in there though. might not be named port forwarding

I think ive got a static connection cause i tried to enter the ip adress into the port forewarding box and it wouldnt accept it. it says when i try to apply the port forewarding change :
Server IP isn't in LAN IP address subnet!
any ideas?
I tried to do it with the port set as 0 and a reroute .txt.. it helped, i was able to land on the planet, but it still shows offline to others (yeah i found a tester lol)

Hi, some questions I'd need to know the answers to in order to help you along..
- Are your running the world on the same machine as you play the game?
- Are you able to access it?
- Are others able to access it?
- Please can you post the contents of your world's ServerConfig.txt
thanks
a little help for a noob please?

That means mit messed up, maybe. .lol
The process has changed a bit since membership was introduced, so don't know if I will be much help, but I will try.
For some reason, the name of the server doesn't match what the game thinks you have.
When you open the client,, instead of clicking 'connect' go into the Members Area and click 'Your Worlds'.
Is anything listed there?
If not, then you may have to go to the 'World Registration' option at the bottom of the column and basically name your world. Mit would have to confirm though. If this isn't the case and my guess is wrong, it could mean breaking it further and waiting for mit to fix it.
if there is something there, go to where you installed the world and open the Serverconfig.txt file. Verify that the "NAME=" line matches the name in the games 'Your Worlds' area. Also make sure that the "OWNER=" line contains your ingame name.
Default install location for TU is "c:\program files\The Universal" or if you have 64bit windows "c:\program files (x86)\The Universal"
