Spontaneous Shooting (Status: Reported)

Post by Whirl »

Shortly after joining Imperial Island, and going into small mode and back, I began shooting (without my control) and my camera began turning to the right continuously.

I believe it had something to do with the mouse. I had weapon mode on, and the mouse was locked, but the game didn't respond to any movement of my mouse. The only thing that would stop the turning and shooting was to unlock the mouse. Switching between small mode and full mode, and even turning weapon mode off and back on again didn't help.

Yeah, that's a known bug. Mit jus hasn't fixed it yet, or it'll be fixed in 0.04.5.x - hopefully.

just disable mouse mode for a second, tap an arrow key and that should stop it. enable mouse mode again if you like.

this happens when you're in mouse mode and go to small and come back, or if you alt-tab, his the winkey, or some other thing that loses the mouse's focus with the window.

i s'pose there might be a way of turning off mouse mode if the mouse loses focus with the window (i wonder if DX has the equivalent of javascript's of "onblur()" function for instance), but i wouldn't think it a major bug per-se; it's pretty easy to work around :]
