heh, what i meant was we're all still here, but once we got to know each other a bit better it must have all fallen through
nah it was 30k between you and two other kids... i only owe you 10k, but you commendably turned it down. i think arklari was another one of the three, and the other guy i don't recall.
i think that was when i was invited into the closed beta for 04, so i wasn't playin' much anymore since i had a shiny new world to mess around with. which is actually the fault of wildchocobo, who upon "quitting" for the third or whatever time that was, gave me about 8k. it had been the first time in the game after 3 months of playing that i broke the 1k mark, and after that...well you get the idea.
the more money you've got the more money you can make...in the end i dumped every last penny into that raceway. and had to beg the knights and whirl, who were never, never on to remove a wall here n' there, sometimes waiting up to a week to get something i laid out improperly fixed up so i could continue construction.
so really i was just handin down the wealth to the next generation, so-to-speak
come to think of it, i wonder if the grass/tarmac stuff is still the same in terms of speed performance. i used to love that double-fence hop in hedgehog town, on the way back from jumping the car factory and fuel stop that no one ever used, but brad and i tossed in just for sheer asthetic.
i'm hopin' someday i come up with a world someone has that same sort of fun with.
most of the times you give player the build-roads skill in a school somewhere though and you wind up with either these boring angel grid patterns or a farm in the road or some giant wall runnin through jed's auto shop.
we need more double-fence hops.
