Enempolyment rate = -50%

Post by cowboygeeker »

One great thing about Zoric is that there is no enemployment! In fact it is quite reverse in that aspect, there are more jobs available then workers to take them. Has any thought been put into the age of automated factories?

How about still leaving most labour and managment jobs with the need for actual people, but automated processing plants would run more expensive so that say a oil refinery would take 30 oil, 50 Liquid Chemicals, and 1s(or pro-rata the normal wage cost to make the fuel) would make 10 fuel.. so that the process would not need to have the workers cutting down on the negative employment value.

What I've noticed about this zoric is that speed of making things is not greatly affected by the number of workers, but the amount of items you can hold is. I think that since there are so many jobs there is a great need for people to pay over 5s allowing jobs to not all be the same price. This makes the jobs a little more realistic. In fact I like how jobs are right now.

Can anyone get into Zoric tonight? I installed 1.32 and I can no longer even see Zoric anywhere? Or is Zoric just down for upgrades, if so, then I should just sit tight...

In the game the "Government" does pay 5S towards the monthly wage of all employee's right? If so why not boost that to 10S and make it so that the minimum wage that can be set for a building is 12S, or increase it proportionally it would then greatly increase the amount of money flow, and with the increase of money flow the average Joe consumer would have more money to burn.

Although a slight inflation in prices might occur, this would be a more prefferable way to make the player feel like their not playing a game of nickles and dimes but of real money.

well thats my 2d anyways...

actually i was thinking of raising the gov pay to 10s.

yea, the jobs don't effect product cost at all, and with buildings mostly takeing 2 employees, and being able to have 3 jobs, thier will be a nice market for jobs this zoric instead of the ususal "i can't find a job" that happens on islands when the buildings only take 1 employee and you can have 2 jobs.

its sorta like a new product market, you can compete for jobs like competing for product sales :P
those who pay higher will be employeed first.
you can get employees to leave your competitors by offering higher saleries
