I was massive for at least 3 weeks im sure.

I think that first bit was the first time i realised how 3 dimensions worked, beyond the meanderings of a few fictional footballers, and lets thank LMA Manager for that if nothin else.
And the tractors and the missiles.. well.. that was inevitable really wasnt it :)

Well, the tractors, pfft, i dunno, i guess it was jus the first thing i could think of that Dan was willing to model. (And more thanks there, Mr Martinez).

Still, it coulda been worse, and even after 3 years ive still managed to maintain my record of not completing more than 30% of a game :)

Ahh, yeh, but your tactics have changed... instead of simply not finishing more than 30%, now you get to 60 or 70% and increase the scope 4000%. With much the same effect :)

I really hope you heard about a-tractor.com before typing it in, because if you hadn't why would a 11 year old kid type something like that in... Its just not normal.

Typing random addresses sometimes results in getting dirtyspammer sites.

Ah ok that makes sense then, an 11 year old was typing in stuff to get dirtyspammer. It's just normal.

That still doesn't lead us to tractors, unless there's some kids with some REALLY sick fantasies out there.

oh hello... i forgot about this thread until cupcake just replied :)

i was freelancing in providence and needed something to occupy my time between client conferences and such. i just wanted some free thing where i could sorta walk around, maybe look at a small box or something, that sorta thing.
that and i had some friends that had recently moved across the country, and we'd been taking to playing MOHAA at the time to keep in touch in a more virtually physical way than just relying souly on IM.

the second i started playing tho i realized this in essence was the game i always wanted, the game i would have made (well, with a few minor lil tweaks, heh) had i ever bothered to learn a compiled language.
i constantly complained about the stale and uninspired state of the gaming industry to my gamer friends, who only seemed to be interested in if the realtime shadows would completely hose their graphics card rather than an actual fun game. this was the game that changed that for me and reminded me why i liked video games as a kid in the first place.

the texturing thing i don't even remember. i already knew photoshop, but i think fooli and i were talkin about somethin or other one day... i don't even remember our first model... polycus? either way i'm pretty thankfully sure no one's seen it. i hope.

either way, doing that for a year's made me a much smarter photoshop user, and a better designer all around.

i should have just stuck with runescape 8)
