try 192.168.0.1 in a telnet session - many netgear routers didn't enable browser config until many firmware patches later.

not shipped as advertized in many cases :/

in windows, from the run dialog, type telnet. then hit [ok].

then in the command prompt that folllows, type

open 192.168.0.1

and hit enter.a password prompt will appear. enter your password.

from there you should see your router configuration screen.

try it with a :80 after the number to use port 80?

since it looks like its trying to connect with port 23, when port 80 is the web port

if you've got a router and a separate modem thing, the modem might be occupying 192.168.0.1, so the router might be on the next one - i.e 192.168.0.2
maybe.

Assuming you've installed any software ur router needs, why not try following the instructions here:

http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_file ... P614Anchor

and rtfm here:

ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/rp614 ... manual.pdf
