mm, there doesnt seem to be a character there with that name so i cant reset the password for it.. are you sure you used that name with that exact spelling for your nickname and login? Are there any others it might possibly be?

that happened 2 me, u need 2 change ur character name 2 start on the server, it happened 2 me.

me character name on zoric is andrew, and on zion its freako969

goto a world, and press f1 and then goto file and um... *thinks* name and password :/
urgh.. i'd look but im really tired and zorics laggy...

just goto small mode (f1) and file and you can probably work out the rest.. its pretty simple.

then change ur nickname

only way to change your login and password is to delete the tractor.cfx file where you installed the game.
but be warned. this will change the login and password you use on all islands, so only do it this way if your ok with being reset on each island.

a bit of a way around the above is to install a second copy of the game somewhere and use that one with a different name/password for zion, and continue your main one for other islands. only big trouble with this method is if you accidently use the wrong client for an island and get stuck with multies.

i deleted the tractor.cfx file and connected using another username and this came up:
galaxy connection refused- either the galaxy already has a record of a connection from your computer, or there is a conflict with your login details.

to recify this, shut down any other instances of the game you have running and try to connect again.
if this problem persists, please post on the game support forums.

i deleted all other traces of it and reinstalled it and same happens with other nicknames apart from Rikimaru the one i had already

I wouldnt recommend using different login names on the galaxy (for exactly the reason there.. the galaxy server will not allow ya to connect). Ideally you should choose your loginname once and never change it - so i'd recommend you go back and stick to your original Rikimaru one.

This of course does not solve your problem connecting to Zion.. which is a strange one indeed if both your Nickname and Login-name are Rikimaru - As i said previously, the server does not have any record for that character name at all, and so there cannot really be a conflict with your password.

The best thing i can suggest next is to try logging in while im around to debug the server, so i can see exactly what is happening to cause the error. I'm gonna be online a bit over this weekend so hopefully our paths will cross..

I'll add myself to a chat channel called 'rikimaru' at the weekend, so you'll be able to find out if im online at any time..
(type ?setchat rikimaru to join the chat channel. Once you've joined it, type ?chat to see who's on the same chat channel(s). Precede a msg with ; to talk to everyone on the channel.)

well at least its not jus a problem with the zion server then

lets take a step back a mo and clarify a few things.. Could u answer as many of these as u can with yes or no answers pls :]

1. Have your ever connected to zoric (via the quickplay menu or the a-tractor client) before it replaced zion in the galaxy?
2. have u ever been able to connect to an island?
3. Have u ever been able to connect to an island with the tractor client or the quickplay menu option rather than the galaxy -> continue game?
4. Have you ever installed the game to a folder other than the default?
5. Have you ever installed the tractor client?
6. Does the quickplay menu option on the galaxy allow you to connect to Zion at the moment? (If so, does it still give you a password error?)

4.yes i renamed the folder into theuniversal2 but then i deleted all traces of it and installed it again as default

righto.. i was able to track your last logins and find your character in the end (Seems it was originally registered with the nickname KilJaeden a few months ago. Was that you?) As the account hasn't been used for a while i've reset the pass, so try Zion again, with any luck you should be able to get in now.

Zoric will probably need hedge or zar to reset your password or wipe your char.
