Cause this is getting old...

Post by wes773 »

Am getting tired of this so guess I'll bring it to your attention yet again. On Zion, to buy items... you have to repeatedly click the up and down arrows to set an amount to buy. I do not like clicking repeatedly. This almost feels like quicktime events without a reason.... more annoying than anything. Hold on a second. Alright, I'm back. Anyways, yeah,. fix that please. Afk.

To be honest, i think instead of using 2 buttons to control the input, it'll be alot better and faster if you could just enter the numbers manually. :)

I agree with you, had you seen the thing I made for the new zoric to eliminate that problem?

It is used *everywhere* that a number input is needed.
setting job salary, setting building sale price, setting item buy price, setting item sale price, setting how many of an item for a building to produce, adding investment, removing investment, buying from buildings, selling to buildings, adding items to buildings, removing items from buildings, even depositing and withdrawing from your bank account.

All you had to do was click the buttons to type in the qty you wanted. The script also automatically prevented the number from exceeding the limits of whatever you were doing. ie, if you had 230 oil in a building, the script wouldn't let you set a number higher then 230 to buy form the building.

Thing is, I've mentioned it to mit several times in the last 6 months or so. I can't imagine it being much different than scrolling when selling to buildings. pgup, pgdn, and end don't seem to work anymore, that's the main reason I'm having issues with it. Anyways, thanks in advance for reading this, Mit. Zar, you really shouldn't HAVE to make scripts that do what you're doing, lol. That's pretty cool though.

oops sorry, didnt realise it was still an issue. Fixed in 0.67.2
(Manual entry rather than holding the up/down arrows is for later, as is tying all the new interface controls stuff into pg up/dn again). There a bug report forum post about that?
