Very Disappointing....
Recent events on Xebec have left me very disappointed...
I was at first enthusiastic about a conflict on Xebec and playing a part in making such an event happen, but at no time did i volunteer my town for such an exhibition of destruction.
just wanted to point out....
Stimutacs has been on the world for 920 hours, 12 mins & 50 seconds.
trippillx has been on the world for 538 hours, 29 mins & 50 seconds.
Lightmun has been on the world for 172 hours, 44 mins & 10 seconds.
i too have spent a lot of time on this world.
so i proposed that we have said conflict over the ocean, so i had offered to over see such a terriforming project, but with the current world building limit, and the fact that you can ONLY build ONE town plinth, not as misinformation from stim would have me believe that you can ONLY have ONE at a TIME, big difference.
but experience can be a harsh teacher...
i set out on my own to build ultramarina on the island that would be the most "middle" of the ocean above greenville..
when i reached the island, and tired to build the building "ultramarina" it said that "trippillxton" was the cause for me not being able to build a new town (not exactly the wording of the script, but i hope the idea is clear) "tripplillxton" which i believe is the original name for Fort Valor, which i HAD destroyed before setting out, i also relogged, as i bought supplies, and needed to do an inventory update, and wanted to do this before i started on the pre-permanent bridge, i get a little past the first island north on the seed guy and i and reminded of the world building limit, but i just cut down weeds plants and press on the land is terriformed, and i hope i don't get abruptly logged untill i get to the point in the story where i learn i can't build ultramarina, but for my trouble, and since i had been preparing the night before with stim collecting sand for bottles, that i brought full of water to feed the weeds as i went so i would have enough plant fibers to get a war galleon whence i reached the other side, as i had the cash and wood on me already, i still pressed on, figuring it would be easier to try again later. WRONG! boy was i wrong.
as i get close to the coast of the land mass for new zion, a tedious hour (nothing when compared with in the hundreds)... sooooo... an hour or so later my character decends too far down the slope of the bridge and touches the water mearly touches the water and dies, all is lost... discouragement sets in, but i can't let it, so from amber i run again without the wood (thankfully) but with more water so i can make the fibers again cause i must get the galleon. The bridge is almost done, character is killed again when i reach the end of the bridge, as i was impatient and trying to finish fast. i decide it is too much and i will address these issues as i have the time.
my real life takes over and i have to do labour over long hours and a few days.
i am able to pop on for a little bit to help morvis on ariya here and there...
i notice some other hardships plauge me on aramathea. i try my best to ignore them but i bitch to morvis about it for a bit.
my weekend starts and i wake, and hurry on-line there is much to do over the worlds, as i haven't had the time to maintain some things i'd of liked too.
stim greets me in space and it more then enthusiastic to get me down to Xebec for a good old fashioned ambush, and who is the ambusher? Why the king no less. so it's god and kind against imperator, and imperator runs, i guess we are all cowards.
was the rate of my own destruction not amusing enough for you oh holy one?
1000 bottles. 400+ plant fibers ,50 villagers plus lots more. gone in just this excursion.
i think the death toll for villagers is nearing 500, i'd say more then half have been to stupid drowning instances. i.e being above the water line and dieing, or being stuck in a drowning spot.
or was it just that god and king were displeased with my result in providing a play ground, so you'd just send a henchman come and smash what i cherish?
a henchman i no longer call a friend, and not longer wish to speak his name.

This is something robin had asked me to post
Post subject: This is something robin had asked me to post
The introduction world,
The first part on the introworld is working but slow. But knowing now what the intro world learns you doesnt have any use in the world (xebec). When examine an object it only tells you what it is and you cant do anything with it. So dont see any plus point to be on the intro world.
From the introworld into spacestation ...............
What a HUGE difference!
Simple guiding, buy and sell. No intro on how stuff works and what you need. Its like coming from level 0-1
to level 10 in a heartbeat. When you hit your spaceship and fly toward, yes where, you have NO clue.
Clicking on some screens opens system and galaxy. still no clue what your doing.
just test something find out how the controles work. Find a world passing by fly towards it.
In my case it was Xebec. Couldnt find the brakes and thought its all over.
Please do NOT send me back to the intro world!! my thoughts at that moment.
The town in Amber is like a ghost town and still is after playing now for a couple of weeks
(159 hours and 36 mins.) (3 -4 weeks) is still as dead as it was before.
When I ment Trip he had some work to be done therefore short talk.
Next days i've played and tryed to learn as much as possible. STILL WALKING. It was not untill I had
done some building in green that i learned that shift was for run.
Now my mentor Trip is being attacked by the king.
If there any players on Xebec that are active then it would be Trip and myself.
while many others hardly play and IF they visit Xebec it is usually no longer then 5 min.
Okay, the answer on the next comment of many will be "it's part of the game".
You've played so many hours on your first world and then this.
How to give newbies a NOT welcome sign!!!!!!!!!
This game has so little guidence for a new player and most worlds have SO many restrictions that without
other active players is gets from a little to mayorly boring.
Let me tell you one thing (for the players who would like me to go, this is your chance) IF Valor Keep
(also know as Fort Valor) is killed then this game is over for me.
For me its like the team lost his view on how it would be for new players to get started without any knowledge at
all.
The only world a new player could do something is Xebec and then ONLY if they would find Fort Keep.
To be honest most players would have gone way before the trip to this town.
After first findind the empty space in the dessert and close to it the kings place NEW something.
Aramathea, pfffffffffff what a world. You can have up to 6 building,
5 of them to be worked on. But every player can have 2 jobs. Meaning you need 2.5 NEW players to just get labor
workers in your building. They also can have 5 working buildings.
Zoin, I've helped out there but 100% it is the most boring world out there.
Quit after no selling was possible of Ore or Iron to the place at the river.
Bio and Mech, total wast of space. If ANY new player would hit any of both worlds then would quit within 5 min.
All the world are more made for inactive players then for players that REALY like to play daily.
Every world has a max on buildings and therefore Always depended on other players that are active.
If no investment or no sale nothing to sell or buy. This then ends up in inactive players and lost of interst.
Let say i would build my own city on Xebec. What do i have? A DEAD town without any players in it that are able
to build industusty or food buildings.
Some other plannets are made to much distance to fly to for new players.
You need to trade in space and fly up and down spacecenters. Every trip take 3 - 4 minuts.
Have done a round to all the worlds around the intro world. The only thing to make money on is from itro world
to BIO world. fly back empty round time 8 minuts. For a couple of credits.
To be honest and this is only my view as a new player:
This game has huge potentials but to many things to be done and with not all project finished starting already
on new projects. Therefore nothing really gets done.
It takes months and maybe years for new players to find the universal on the web/internet. But, it will
only take a handful of players that leave angry or annoyed with their negative reviews left behind on the forums,
to discourage other thoughtful players from joining, the ones who read ahead and make smart choices based on other peoples experiences, the exact kind of players the universal really needs.
Make a 100% goal on where this game needs to goto and playing games like on Zion (race track and cricket) whats the value for the game? Make what is there 100% okay before starting the next project. Or maybe the world are maxed on limits for building (server/software side) but then dont build large worlds if you can hold many players on them.
It looks more like a tree, as many branches it has so many options are worked in this game.
Every world i've visit or worked on has his problems and need to get fixed.

The first paragraph falls back on what wes was saying about introduction, and omnicronic had a good laugh at the sequencing of going from primitive being to space cadet is a single bound.
just documenting some things that might not be picked up by your statistics.
i personally like introduction world,
it's a really good system for vetting worthy candidates as they must have so patience, but it's hard to be every where and paying attention to everything at once, so i find new players slip through the cracks all the time, i see all the time on zion's leaderboards new names, but nothing is added to the landscape, not even a much needed lumbermill
i'm going to keep working whatever infrastructure i can

this is xebec when the world building limit is raised, right now it's hard to encourage new growth, as one knows any new players will reach the world building limit soon other wise i see vast potential for fun on xebec, i'm sorry that i chose a spot that required so many plants when i built my city, it retrospect a lot of trouble would have been avoided if i just chose a flat plain to work with.flametard wrote:You're right. The galaxy needs some stronger worlds to draw players in. Some action worlds and some 1 player worlds.
