Well, not really asking for help, I just want to know how many are unable to join Zoric.

I can't join it, neither can Matthew.

no clue whats going on with the unability to connect problem.
I have checked everything i know of, and still am clueless as tyo whats causeing it. if anybody else can figure out the trouble or provide some insight to the problem, please do.

for qwerty, the trouble first started when i moved the islands and gateway to a different computer while i upgraded the main server.
the computer was a simple Windows 98 computer, no other programs were running at the time besides the required explorer and systray. the router was also told to forward the ports to the computer at the time.

the islands are now back on the upgraded island server.
the island server is running:
Windows 2000
it is set up as a domain controller with Active Directory and a DNS server on it (which is required for active directory to run). the server is also running IAS (Internet Authentication Service) in order to provide allowence for island owners to log into the computer to alter thier islands in the future. It is set up with a Static IP, and the router is reset to forward the ports to it.
The fact that some players can connect shows that it probably isen't a port, firewall, or port forwarding problem.

The computer CANNOT go back to useing its origional Windows ME. when i changed the file system on the hard drives, it made ME unusable. reverting back to it would require a full reformat of both 80 gig hard drives, and i'd have to find a place to put the 140gigs of stuff they contain. Also, when i upgrade the server again in a few weeks, WinME might not be usable in it then anyway (gonna replace the motherboard, cpu, and ram), then it will be iompossible to revert back as the only copy of ME i have is on the computer recovery disks that came with the computer.

Well this is odd...
I do get a ping from Galatic Trade, I think it's hosted on your comouter, but cannot enter as it requires a password.
Might it have something to do with the ports?

Win2k has a built-in firewall (according to a google search), I don't know if it's on by default, though.

Oh and zar, read your signature and start fixing the problem :)

Now they all are working
