cant connect to civilisations?

Post by Keyalha »

Since something like 30 Minutes im trying to get online to feed my little cavie.
Until now without luck. As far as i saw there was no planned takedown of the Server so i assume either the TU Server has crashed or there is a problem in the landline of the Server.

any hints?

edit: i will edit the main post accordingly as soon as the server is up and running again which as of now is not the case.

Sme here...stays on the connecting to civilization screen before you get the welcome screen. been that way for 2 days now, but will log in once in a while, but mostly, like 90% of the time it fails

I was able to login yesterday to save my cavie from certain death but since earlier today when i made the initial post i was unable to login at all, and the problem still is around as of now.

yep servers are bonkers again. I hope we get some sort of wis compensation sooner or later cause due to that server outages i nearly lost my cavie as the feeding times went into times where no sane person can feed his cavie.

lol. Not like it would have a detrimental effect on your gameplay with how the game is now.
Worst case is that you'd have to spend 10 mins gathering bricks again

You did read mits main page post? Wis is determaining when you can build the next tier of stuff and even with it carrying over death its very benefical to get old due to the short spans when you get extra wis which now may go away due to something we as players cant do a thing about.

so please before posting such things think a bit more of what effects things may have.

It might be no biggie for you but for me who needs to catch up on wis anyway it is a biggie to die.

Wow, somebody is taking things quite seriously.
It's just a game. Learn to relax and have fun.

If I may point out your comment: 'which now may go away due to something we as players cant do a thing about'
If you acknowledge that you can't do anything about it, then why worry about it? Live your life and enjoy the things you can control and manipulate to get enjoyment out of instead of wasting your time worrying about something you can't control.

Keyalha wrote:so please before posting such things think a bit more of what effects things may have.
Please be more aware of what is actually going on in the game before telling others to acknowledge things that currently have no effect on things :P

I know what mit posted. But do you know that the advanced buildings aren't available yet?
If not activated soon, most players will be dieing due to old age before they become available and have to wait to gain wisdom again. Max age is only low/mid 90s and people are around 80 now. With 4 game years per a real day many will die from old age by the end of the week (if the world stays up anyway, lol).

Even when they do become available, everybody will build them and then it will be back to waiting a few weeks for something else new. Plenty of time to get things done and 'catch up' if you didn't have the wisdom to build them right when they became available.

Don't be in such a rush to wait around. It's not a race, there's no need to rush threw with a lot of impatience, that just fuels aggravation.

edit: @ zaroba you might not care, i tend to be a powergamer so i do care.

As you dont respect my view of the game i stop any further discussion, because everything what i will bring into this discussion is invalid for you anyway.

Just respect i am a powergamer and always will be so i do care even if you dont.

I'm sorry, I was unaware that your point of view was the only one.

You want to be in such a rush to build the new buildings and wait around for a few weeks for the next new thing, then you are free to do so. I'll just sit back and patiently gain my wisdom every life and keep up with you while suffering minimal aggravation over petty things.

BTW, I'm not 80. I'm only 75 and will die before hitting 80.

Keyalha wrote:I like to be around and be able to do stuff when it comes available and not wait days or weeks on end just because someone like you is telling me to.
telling you?
You may not be aware of this, but that is how the game currently works. We have to wait days/weeks regardless of what we want because the advancement is on Mit's schedule. If he has more important things to tend to (like his job or family) then we have to wait. Deal with it.

Well i am fine with waiting, but need to wait when its uncessary furthers the load. So waiting for content when others are able to do the said content already which could be avoided is what is bothering me not waiting in general.

Sorry i edited my post after yours your qoutes are valid, i just wanted to post something with less temper but was not fast enough.

And no my point is not the only one but discussing stuff is fruitless when the validity of any of my arguments is never taken seriously because you tend to just have another playstyle then i do.

As said i am a powergamer and i want to do stuff when it is available. The race is to be first is part of the fun for me.

key if u would have stayed around in ch.2 u would have been there when ch.3 startde and would have the same amount of wisdom as all of the rest of us. but u did not so the falt is yours alone. sorry to say it that way but there it is. and u have the same chance of makeing it to age 100 as i do just stick with it.
