ZE Planet Development Status Report - Terror Tower

The planetary development team at Zoric Enterprises releases this memo to the populous of the galaxy:

With planet Delivery Zone nearing completion, we have started work on the next planet that we will be constructing. Currently in its alpha planning stages and with a name that will possibly change, Terror Tower will be a player vs player combat world with a small economy designed around scavenging and salvaging.

All game play will take place inside a 22 floor tower (basement, 20 floors, roof) that was abandoned long ago due to a zombie outbreak and never cleaned up. the tower will have 2 safe zones (floors 1 and 10) and players will need to use the elevator or stairs to traverse the tower. Due to the events which caused the tower to become abandoned, it is a mess inside. bloody walls and floors, might be some body parts scattered around, broken furniture etc. Early investigations revealed that there was also an eerie music coming from the floors but with no source in sight.

players will be able to make money by finding remaining stuff in the tower and selling it to a merchant on the first or tenth floor for money to buy weapons and ammo. players can also craft some items and find weapons, ammo or money stashed in various places of the tower.




(basically, its a player vs player combat world with a simple scavenger based economy and with horror themed graphics similar to how resident evil 2 and 3 were)

The ZE Planetary Development Division has commenced work on this world.

the world name changed from Terror Tower to Tower of Terror however the name may change again. The name Quarantine had been debated among the researchers as the horror movie of the same name takes place in a multi floor apartment building.

The music selection has been compiled with tracks from Resident Evil 2, 0, and Parasite Eve 2.

The elevator system is nearing completion, then the stairs will be set up.
Work on the Dynamic Ambiance script is continuing as well. It is actually being doubled to allow two ambient events at a time.

There is nothing to see yet as the script is being made first.

Minor update, changed some stuff around in the building layout resulting in scripts needing to be changed as well.

The floors of the tower have changed from original plans.
The tower now consists of 3 basement floors and 12 above ground floors.
Floor -3: Parking Garage, Subway station
Floor -2: Movie Theater and Dance Halls
Floor -1: Theater Projector room, tower utilities
Floor 1: Safe zone, new player starting location
Floor 2: Mall
Floor 3: candybar
Floor 4: School
Floor 5: Science Lab
Floor 6: Tower Facilities
Floor 7: Hotel
Floor 8: Clinic
Floor 9: Offices
Floor 10: Church
Floor 11: Food Court
Floor 12: Apartments

floors may change again in the future
additional themes will be added as buildings file space becomes available

Ambient noise script - somewhat completed, need to know all the noises that will be replicated before it can be finished for good and set up to effect all areas of the game world
Admin Script - Completed with whats currently made, but as other pieces of the script are made, new stuff will be tossed in this.
