Ark or Tower
the shaman stated wrath was coming. since then it has been raining
what is the wrath? flood? earthquake? landslide? tsunami?
most disasters would leave an ark unaffected.
what use would a tower serve on an island with barely any food, no wildlife, and a small isolated population? looking at it biblically, the tower was demolished by god and mankind spread around the globe. this would make it harder for all of us to do anything,
noah's ark saved animals and mankind. would survive more disasters then a tower could, and could take us to better lands.
i vote ark.

I agree with Zaroba here, except for the demolished part. The Bible never says that, only that the language was confused and the people scattered, but that's another debate altogether . Given the circumstances, the ark seems the better choice. The shaman warned of wrath. I feel that if there were no warranted need for the ark, it wouldn't be an option. The tower may give something cool or whatever, but it may be an option still after the ark is made, and we are kept safe from the wrath.
Let's examine a couple scenarios:
We build tower, we use whatever wisdom is required to build it, then wrath comes. Now, when we die,we respawn younger, and retain our wisdom. What point would wrath be then? I think everything 'resets'.. We all die, and wisdom is wiped. This is the only logical outcome from wrath, aside from just dieing.
Or, we build the ark, use whatever wisdom is needed, are saved from wrath, which I suspect would be a flood, since the ark is an option. Whatever wisdom is left from building is retained and we all live to die naturally, and possibly live on to build the tower.
So logically, the ark is the better option.

knowing how the settings work, it wouldn't rain for more then 10 mins with the current time speed. so mit has it set to permanently raining, which should indicate that the upcoming wrath is a great flood.
an ark is required to survive the flood.
noah didn't build a tower to survive the flood, he built an ark.

In all due honesty, i do not look at it from a "spiritual " viewpoint. simply put, we all have seen the map and know we re stuck on an island with minimal resources. The best way to get off an island is to have a boat, if we are given the chance to make one, i say take it, afterall, we do have plenty of trees
Demo crazy?
Don't we have to invent that first?
He who thinks he is the leader is the leader,
and he decides,
and when he's wrong we all gang up on him and kill him,
then a new one who thinks he's leader will arise and make decisions till he fails.
Works brilliantly unless the one who thinks he's leader is strong enough to beat us all up at the same time,
then he remains leader whatever he does.

I really doubt the boat will be to 'escape the island' to move on to another. I think it's for the purpose of escaping the wrath of the flood sure to ensue, since it's been raining for 2 days now since the shaman was here, but its always a possibility. Mit's good at curveballs. =) I do like the 'adventure game' feel to it though.Tho maybe a bit slow to start, its just the style planet I like to make, so this is all just raising the bar a bit in the RPG-ish, gives me a nice springboard for new inspirations of planeteering .
I still say ark.

the prophet has still not come forward to start a project.
which means there are people who have not yet tried the henge to see if they are the prophet.
the sea level continues to rise.
seems that mit changes it when he does the nightly server reboots.
i sure hope that the henge project wont take time to complete.

I dont think it's as simple as just 'not everyone has tried their hand at the henge'. For one, I know for a fact that not everyone gets the same reesult when the henge is accessed, but that's all im going to say about that. Knowing the nature of multiplaye gaming population, I think it would be irresponsible as a game designer to just, pick someone at random, to be a key player in a game, considering how many appear once and never again, or rarely at all.
I think someone has an idea themselves, of being 'the one', and it's just not their time, and their laying low about it for now, until something can be done.
