When Typing Certain Words Characters are Replaced

Post by Zero_GT »

Software:Universal Client
Version Number:60
________________________________________________________________________
Location
Planets (Genesis)
________________________________________________________________________
Description:
Typing "Saltwater" results in saying "sal@!'#er". This seems to be related to containing "twat" and is perhaps related to some kind of filtering?

Steps to Replicate:
Type either "saltwater" or "twat" on a planet. Tested this specifically on Genesis in V60.

yes, it's because of it containing twat due to thechat filter being turned on in your client.

hit F1, then goto Options -> General Options and uncheck Block Obscenity if you want to turn off the chat filter

A feature request more than a bug, i think. The profanity filter is very simple and would need to be extended with 'whitelist' cases for words such as these. Not a terribly complicated system to write but not high on my list atm.
