I want to go for a different feel on my world... so i got around to thinking... hmm.. what would this look like greyscaled( I want to go for an "artsy" type thing).... so I've changed a couple textures to greyscale... looks alright. Just wondering... how many people would play a greyscaled world? please respond if you read this.
Also... I've started to wonder if 3D cell animation type stuff is possible in this game. I think it would be neat to do something like that(would take time to learn to do if it is possible)
does anybody know if it's possible?
looking forward to hearing your responses.
Strange....
there is a modelling trick you can do to do a 3d cell animation effect - though it needs a bit of expertise.
basically you build the model normally, texture it in simple colours, then copy all the polygons of your model and scale them, so you had up with a duplicate model slightly bigger all round than the original. Texture the larger duplicate black, then reverse the backface culling.. ta da, you end up with a model that looks like it has a black outline on it.
I *think* you can do this sorta effect with .atm (though you'd really need to have multiple materials in a model to avoid it being restrictive).. whether its worth the effort..
