Every day I can see some newbs near Zion. They aviate their space shuttles, and shooting and so on. Each day we see new names. The problem is why we see so many newbs and so few players. I guess the answer is that newbs donno what to do and how to earn money. Besides its boring to carry water and foods.
May be some interesting quests and bonuses can help to involve newbs in the game. For example to carry ... water (not rum as you may quess) to planet 420. Of course the guys there would prefer rum, but today we have an unusial day-they are in lack of water The newb, who accomplished the quest would receive 1000 cr (bonus). There may be several different quests. With time, newbs can be involved in the game and we ll see not only cruisers and space shuttles near ZION.
One more thing. Information about the newbies quests must be easily available of course.
Any opinions?
How to involve newbs?
Yesterday there were like 6 of them on Cirrus. Other than me, there was kb, bal, and hunter.
I tried to help them, trying to get their attention on chat, yet they seemed to ignore me, maybe because they didnt figure out there was a game chat, or maybe they have lenguage problems.
Of those 6, would be nice if atleast 2 of them stayed.

they probably didn't even notice your chat attempts.
either didn't know about the system tab and didn't know that the little arrow displayed on it means theres messages there (gotta wonder why the game always has the chat channels displayed when its pointless if your on non. if anything it should be user choosable) or they didn't know that there blinking name with a c next to it meant somebody was trying to talk to them, or didn't know how to accept it.

I noticed too that almost all of newbs dont suspect of chat existence. And of existence of Finite Drive as well. This information could be useful for them.
May be simple and friendly introduction to the game could help to use chat and Finite Drive?
However, only interesting quests can help to excite the desire to play the game. Even the old Elite contained three well known quests. I've learned of them from the introduction to the game. The quests were described in details. I guess the aim of this old introduction was to "sell" the game. May be it will have some sense to include involving quests in the Universal game to provoke the new users interest? I'm sure that the Universal game contains some quests. Though information on them is not so easy of access as the old Elite quests information.
