I log in today, screen gets all weird and then out of nothing I see I've lost my whole inventory......My gal cruiser and missiles,weapons, countermeasures, lasers, infimp, everything except my money.....!
I didn't do anything except just login in.
P.S. As I've said before, the only thing that remained was my money..... well I hope that number is telling the truth...

Hmmm.
First things first: I kind of understand why people try all the uninstall/reinstall stuff, except... it has nothing to do with your character record, which isn't stored locally on your PC. It's stored on the galaxy server.
Second things second: this is really weird. As mentioned in another post, the galaxy crashed earlier today (or maybe last night); actually at the same place in the code as the last time it crashed, so I'd say we've got a bug of some kind. Unfortunately I have the same level of coding ability as a particularly dimwitted monkey, so there's nothing I can do about the bug, and I'm still waiting for a reply from mit about the last time this happened.
That's all well and good (well not good, but still); the weird thing is that while you appear to have lost stuff, I haven't. My character was unaffected by the crash. Yours wasnt. I'm not sure how that's possible.
Were you actually playing when the gal fell over? Ie, were you just doing whatever and saw the "galaxy disconnection" message? From your post I'd say not, but just in case you'd left the game running overnight or something.

No Fooli, I was totally absent during the galaxy crash. It's just this morning I wake up, get my cup of coffee, and go in the galaxy, when I log on, I get this white screen and for a second I see my ship and everything but after the white screen is cleared, I lose everything I have except the items I've mentioned. So yeah, I think I was sleeping during the crash.
