Galaxy Crash?

Galaxy went offline.

I wonder if Fooli cat hit the off button once again.
Why to people keep on making a new post when this happens ?.
Why do they not use one of the old post ?.
Any how as we say here in the land down under. Have a KIT CAT and wait untill the server cames back on.

Aye... if you use an existing post I get an email. If you don't, you have to wait for me to pop in and check the posts :)

Galaxy fell over of its own accord - no cats involved this time. Is back up now.

Ah i thought you had done a galaxy reset because everybody is in shuttles and lost their upgrades.

I lost my ship & upgrades but still have my money.

I'm not complaining, just letting you know.

no i wasnt playing when it went offline.

I bought some upgrades. im playing under jmoyet_2. I still cant access my jmoyet account you could delete the in game jmoyet account but dont delete it from the website since we still cant register new accounts on the website.

Yeah then it closed out. but then i was able to play when i opened it again

Yep, same thing happened to me, looks like this is a common problem. Some players in game have only lost part of their inventory.

maybe because they had cargo when the galaxy went down.

Ok, the game is randomly restarting my PC, I'm off till this thing is more stable.

Hmm. I'll do what I can to investigate this, but without mit that's not very much. If this is a widespread problem (like, all 10 of our players were affected) then I'll just restore the galaxy to the last backup.

I'm not sure what's going on with the website either. First question is, why are you trying to create new website accounts when you already have one. Second question is more rhetorical.. why is it that spammers can happily create new accounts if it isn't working :) There might be something preventing multiple website accounts (like, it's part of the code) but that's just a guess.

I can say for certain though that your game account and website accounts have nothing to do with each other beyond being owned by the same person. Another question: why do you have multiple accounts? If you were struggling to log into your original one (like you forgot the password or something) proper thing to do is ask us. If you did and we ignored you, sorry about that.

Well i wanted to create one to match my game account name but now dont see the point in creating a second website account any more.

Well since the website was moved to another host (from what mit said) some features have been disabled such as avatar uploading and such...

Well you tried to help remember? you tried to see if deleting speedO (friends account in my computer after being freshly reinstalled with xp) but it wasn't successful because it kept saying user name and password are correct but jmoyet account is assigned to a different computer.

so anyways you can delete that account since now im the Leader of SR with my jmoyet_2 account.

if you check the jmoyet account hasn't been logged into since Feb. so its not like im loggint in and out of both accounts.

I think some things didn't move over seamlessly, true, but account creation doesn't seem to be one of them.

Nope, but then I'm very forgetful. Speedo was deleted as requested. I'm not sure why you'd be happy to abandon your original account, as it seems to have a couple hundred thousand creds. Maybe you enjoy the challenge of building it up again :) It'll die eventually.

Well its not that i want too but i have no choice now since i cant log into it and i have a Faction with 8 member so far and growing. i had around 200k or 300K credits in the jmoyet account it i think with the corbra Mk II ship.
