probably just daily item decay.

thiers settings in the islands so that if a building has over a set amount of something in stock, the excess will decay at a set rate of items per day until it reaches the set limit. the set limit and amount per day are configurable by the island owner.

yeh that's just prod decay. buildings lose 1% of their stocks every cycle if they have over 100 mats.

i've changed this to 500 since the cycles are rather fast.

Thus making max limits of items in buildings on Reine Blanche rather defunct as anything over a certain limit deteriorates in a matter of minutes...ie, will practically be at a maximum of xxx items...

and to think I was wondering why I was losing Invest for no gain in stocks too...

i've upped the limit a bit more, but this illustrates the constant complaint from one end of the field or the other in a rather nice way really..

when decay limit was low, people complained they were losing money.

when decay limit is high, people (sometimes even the same players) complain that the building is fully stocked and they can't transfer to it.

you either have to wait, or you have to lose a bit of money along the way. the entire game is time v. money. if you take away the wait time, you've gotta make it harder to earn cash, if you make it easy to earn cash, you've gotta make 'em wait a few.

personally i thought it was going great, the island is the only econ i've played (full disclosure: i haven't played many) to be completely self-sufficient during an opening week without any intervention (no credit to me, i haven't the faintest how to run this kinda thing, even if i had been around). now that the econ is about 50% to full maturity, i'll change it for a bit though and we'll see if you guys prefer waiting. praps it'll allow team 1 to catch up a bit....they're getting quite behind :/

i'll be curious to see how well it runs now that i've tinkered a few settings that the players have specified. it is a test for a larger game island after all :)
