say i have the following tiles on a map:
where the different colors/numbers restrict a building to a specific team, or perhaps a specific building type ("1" being "production" "2" being retail, etc)
If I remember right, there's a setting that distinguishes whether a building is built on a point in-between tiles (the old way) or in the center of the tile (the "newer" way). fooli suggests there's only the old way, which is fine since that's what I'm concerned with.
let's say I'm using the old way. if I want to build a building on the point that rests on the 1,2,4 and 5 tiles, which type of building would I be able to build? or would i be able to build multiple types?

there isen't one for teams, but you can specify building zones for specific buildings and building types.
for type specific, i think you just have to set it in the surface properties then lay the surface
for building specific (like zion uses) i think you just set the building zone in the bdat for the building, and then ingame maybe type .buildingzone # after dragging a box. zion uses this to force oil drills to be in one spot and ore mines to be in another spot.
