I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I keep trying different things and nothing seems to work... What am I missing here? This is making me feel really dumb... Would it be wrong of me to hand out my phone number on here to have someone walk me through the process?

I think you're nearly there... can't see much wrong with that. I can't remember whether the game just needs UDP, or both UDP and TCP/IP, so it might be worth setting that to "both" just in case.

At the moment, your world is showing offline in the galaxy. However, the galaxy server is reporting the correct IP address and port, which is about 90% of the battle. It's telling me the connection has been active for over 3 days. So don't change any of that - communication with the gal server seems to be working fine.

When I try to join the world, it tells me the server is not responding to join messages. We know that outgoing communication to the galaxy is working, because I can see the correct IP and port. The fact that the server isn't responding to join messages would suggest they aren't getting through to your PC... the incoming traffic isn't being routed properly. The most likely reason for that is that the internal IP of your PC has changed. Are you sure it's 192.168.1.1? If you have DHCP set up (and it looks like you do) then the chances are it'll be different every time you boot the machine.

Finally.. can you join the world yourself? I'm guessing not. That might be because you need another reroute. If you have a reroute in the server folder, that's for the server itself to sort out port translation and so on. But it's sometimes necessary to have one in the clients folder too, so that you client also understands the local IP/external IP thing.

If you're running the world and your client from the same PC, this would normally look like:

12.208.93.84:2222=127.0.0.1:2222

Where's your reroute.txt?

No I can't land. The reroute.txt is in the correct spot. theuniversal/clients.. I am however running server and client on the same machine, so I altered the reroute as you provided... Hit me again.

So I added Atrophaxia into my set gateways address section on my server useing the ip address from my ipconfig above and now I can connect. I am unsure if anyone else can land.

Ahh, right.

First thing: your internal IP addy isn't .1 at the end. It's .100. So you need to make that change in your router config. Try that first before changing anything else.

Second thing: depending on your set up, you might need a) no reroute.txts... b) a reroute.txt for the server; c) a reroute.txt for the client; d) a reroute.txt for the server and the client.

Put it back the way it was, then try changing your router config as above.

/edit: just seen your second post. Ahh, so you can connect: I presume that's because you added the client reroute. That's a good start. As above you may need to put the server one back too.
