The first thing I bought was InfImp Drive. It turned out too expensive there (I think it was on Zion station). I'm left with 18 cr or so and cannot buy anything.
Can I begin trading somehow?
Can someone help?
A very similar question was being asked by new players last night.
Basically, you have a choice to start with: buy an infimp, and go exploring. Or buy a cargo ship, and use the little change you have left to start trading cheap items like water and food. You won't have much cash to play with but it is enough to get going.
One of the discussions we had was whether or not 9cr is enough for a newbie trader (if you buy a cargo transport on Zion, it's 91cr... you start with 100cr... so yeh, it's possible. But hardly generous. However I and many others have managed it).
Anyway: you can easily reset your galaxy character by typing !resetme while you're in space. It won't affect any progress you've made on worlds. You'll go back to the starting ship and equipment, and starting credits. Then you can buy a cargo transport and start trading. However, if I were you, before I did that I'd take advantage of my infimp to have a quick search around the starting systems - check out trade prices, find some good routes, and when you're ready, reset yourself and off you go.
