I think there should be a mining laser, so it actoully looks like your mining (Like EVE Online) And so people know what your doing. I think it would be cool.

i totally agree with this. although it is not of utmost importance it would be a very interesting addition. also i would like to say that you should be able to upgrade your targetting system to be able to target asteroids.

Yes, and maybe a faster mining kit? Like Lucifer said, its not like the worlds going to end, but it would be cool.
