Where are the rest of the police???

A large proportion of 'frelancer' pilots seem to take on people because they are there with little or no experience; and there are few of the alleged '40+' police (naval?) pilots online other than n00b's.

Who heads this guild? What routes or protection are we policing? What rights are we protecting?

The pirate's seem too well organised.

Perhaps it is time they were policed in an effective manner.

It is a good thing that our missiles are restricted by the God's in the centre systems; but their gratious gesture may be short-lived. Perhaps now is the time to devise contingency strategies, lest our devine protection fails us.

I would suggest we take a leaf from the established perameters of the concept of policing and allign with the principles to 'protect & serve' the citizen.

The user's of the trade-routes will only increase, and the reward to their attacker's will likewise multiply.

Unless we make a stand now, the galaxy may descend into chaos as merchents are attacked as they ply their legitimate routes.

While we stand tall against the transport of narcotics (unless sanctioned by both the recipient and providing system) and slavery in all forms; the general merchant should have no reason to do other than respect us as a guild.

I do not think it is breeching confidences to state that the guild that reports itself as 'Pirates' has a tight, and self-imposed, restriction upon the type of target it aquires. However this is not good enough, as legitimate cargo is lost to merchents en-route to planets that require their supplies.

I submit that we need at least a structure that can effectively deal with the pirating problem in the vicinity of the core systems, or they shall gain control.

Yours,

Takeshi Kovacs; Lt.
