Hi, I'm having a significant problem within the game itself.

I'm running on;
900mhz Tbird, 512MB DDR400, Geforce2 GTS 64MB (Hercules), Windows XP SP1 or whatever the latest patch is.

Basically, I load up the game, pick my server, then the graphics engine loads up etc. but none the accompanying text appears?

I'm using the 53.03 Detonator Drivers for my graphics card.

Any advice / suggestions are gladly welcomed :(

what happens when the game has finished loading all of the required files i.e the prgress bars in the top right hand corner stop being there

Nothing happens... it just sits there :(

I could leave it for a while see what happens on different servers if that would help?

no clue but i did that before copyed my gal client with tractor client delete the game and reinstall it

Just reinstalled *COMPLETELY* again, obviously something still isn't working as I still don't get any text ingame.

Any help is welcome, this is really bedfuddling?

you could try tweaking your graphics settings. for a select few users their card is a problem and this generally tends to clear things up.

when the game has loaded up after you've joined a server (ie - when you get to the point you took this screenshot at), hit f1. this will minimize the game to a compacted chat client mode.

click the "options" menu and select video card options. try switching your directX mode in there (if you're using basic, try advanced, if you're using advanced, try basic).

disabling options in the graphics options area can also help pinpoint a particular problem from time to time.

if not, go hunting for a file in thbe tractor directory called 'fount1.bmp' or similar. it *should* be present, but it may have been corrupted or might just be empty. if everything looks in order and you stillc an't figure it out, then well, feck.

Fixed the problem.

I downloaded the 56.72 detonator drivers, they didn't work and seemed to remove some options I had previously.

Upgraded to the 57.02 drivers and now it's all sexy! :) You might see me ingame once I've got my coursework done :) Yay.
