People crashing on active or inactive planets to repair ship

Space.

Description:
When people are under attack, they crash on purpose on any planet, actove or inactive to repair their ship. They prefer to do it on a inactive planet coz it kicks you out to space again, and fully repaired. I do think this is a critical bug, Mit please.. se what you can do. :)

Steps to Replicate:
Go to space and have someone do damage on your ship, crash on any planet, better if it is inactive coz it kicks you out to space again, and your ship will be totally restored.

i like to do this, surely its only a bug if only a few know and use it. Ive mentioned it in previous posts. Its a well known and used tactic.

Personally i like the idea, as im sure you would mishka if you were still running around in a "lesser ship" :D

Oh and maybe this tells u not to attack a person close to a planet !!

Yep I agree attack players away from planets and space stations. Attack in open space.
This way they have no where to run, lose there cargo if they hit the F12 key. Planets and space stations should be a safty zone or have a safty zone around them. At the moment a player has a 100% change of getting away from pirates. By hanging around space stations and planets for that easy kill, means you are not game to go out and get your kill. I will let you work out to what I mean by this.

I is a Sandgroper and catch me if you can.

would be nice if a player runs to a planet for cover they would have to pay a Hull repair cost depending on the Hull % they have left

Time delay and payment for parts and restoration. The speed and price could also depend on what type of planet it landed on so a police fighter would have it cheaper on a military supply base or econ planet than a pirate base but they wouldn't get the parts cheap on a outlying system while traders might but not military planets.

In response to first two replies:

Just because everyone does it doesn't meant it's not a bug... under that logic an infinite credit (or other abusable bug) bug that became well known wouldn't be a bug ;)

Or we could just make shields available at the starting area

if this were real life, landing on a planet would allow us to repair our ship, but since we are talking about a game...... what would you do if you were in a gal freighter and a megascout popped in behind you and attacked with all its might?? youd run for the closest planet or spacestation and hope you coud repair there b4 losing your cargo just like i would. so i ask, how is landing on a planet any different than docking in a spacestation? same idea, different routes to achieve the goal. if it is a bug, im sure it will be removed, if its not a bug we can adjust our strategy to make the best of our surroundings right.

That you can use planets to 'hide' from combat is fair enough, imo - same as with space stations. However, the planet landing sequence wasn't supposed to completely repair your ship - that was a bug and its fixed for v0.51.7
