i saw that player too zaroba, and his tops speed was over -1500. sounds like someone altered their settings

Nah. Either it's a small mode issue, or lag... or, most likely, the player decided to see what was "off the map". As mentioned before in a couple of posts, space gets very strange indeed outside the normal confines of a starsystem. And most people try at least once to fly from one star to the next without using their stardrive. Which is impossible :)

Anyway... yeh. At the edges of the system, the resolution of space gets a bit funky, and that's prolly why you were seeing the strange readings on speed and location etc.
