Server down?

I'm unable to connect to the galaxy. I noticed the news about some downtime but I thought that it was all cleared up by now. What's the status on the server at this time?

Is there something I'm doing wrong? This is the first time I attempted to log in in over a year. I may have chosen a different login name and password, could that be a problem? If so, how can I fix it?

the galaxy is on a temporary server atm - so the default address the client uses won't be valid. Normally it'll fix itself automatically by communicating with the separate chat server which'll inform the client of the new location for the gal..
Of course.. unfortunately.. the chat server happens to be having one of its off moments right now.. typical :]

All will be back to normal when the gal server moves back to its proper home sometime soon. Meantime, you can either try again later when the chat server returns, or if you're feelin frisky, you could manually enter the temporary gal server address in the dialog that pops up when the connection fails..

Well its kinda related to this ... is this temp server thing affecting un reg planets..? i cant hsot on this comp but im trying on the laptop but it wont connect to the Server... :S is it me or the server?

On a similar note, I can get the client to go to the new server, but the server client doesn't seem to have this function.... Any ideas?
