Chat's missing...

Post by lordmyrth »

Software:Universal Client
Version Number:0.50.3.1

Description:
I logged out last night with no issues. I logged in today, and my Guild chat tab is gone, and my chat channels are gone. I can't type in Main tab, but I can in System.

I tried typing in new chat channels (I think I did this right) by ?setchat channel, channel, channel

Still got nothing.

I switched guilds from Free Traders, back to the starter guild, back to Free Traders...Guild tab stayed MIA.

I uninstalled and reinstalled both client and patch.
Channels still MIA.

Whew...

...do we have any clue when it'll be restored/fixed?

Ah, now, you see, that would depend on the availability of the relevant Chat Support Droids.

For minor chat server errors, we normally rely on the J-001-ia model. It has the advantage of being available more of the time, but its server knowledgebase is still in the build stage.

For more serious errors, we have to wait until the Chat Support Supervisor Droid is available. Otherwise known as Magicfinger. I guess it'll be, er... sometime soon.
