do they delete accounts?

We don't delete accounts (unless you've been very naughty) but the game may recycle an account if a player hasn't logged in for a while. It helps keeps the database of players to a reasonably manageable size.

The minimum period of inactivity required for an account to be recycled is 30 days. In practice, they can survive much longer than that - it depends how many new accounts are being created.

Yeah I think mine is gone too. I made a new one under a new name since it seems like there was some other Jeff around. Common name, heh. Now known as Lightning4...
