Settings don't work

I've been trying to figure out the whole world creation and came across my first problem. While following the guide found on this site, I attempted to access the "settings" menu with no results. Whenever I enter the command "*settings" it does not respond, nothing comes up or anything. Your help would be much appreciated.

Edit:Perhaps it is because I set the world owner to sublimestyle514 and not SublimeStyle (the name I use when I play). I will edit the server settings (serverconfig.txt) and try to figure out if that's it.

Edit2:Yes that was it. I hope this post is useful to others who experience this problem as it is hazy wether you are supposed to type in your username or display name.

Well its a question asked a lot.

as a general rule the only time you need to use your username is for connecting to the galaxy once that is done everything else is achieved using your nick name.

world ownership is determined by your username so the owner= setting in the server config file is your nickname.

discussions have happened recently between the devs in order to clarify this u/name / nick name issue but im not certain what the outcome was or what if anything is going to be changed

a simple solution would be changing the OWNER line to OWNERSNICKNAME or something similer.
