Cant find d3d8.dll

Hello
I really want to play this game but keep getting an error after pressing end to play saying it cant find d3d8.dll.
i saw this on the FAQ page but i have the latetest DirectX and drivers for my card.
can some one help??

my system is as follows:

Download this file

Take d3d8.dll and put it in the C:/Windows/System32 folder.

Misc info: The .dll is Microsoft Direct3D, v. 4.08.01.0881.

thanx, but still comes up with the same error.

im about to give up... does any one have any idea how to fix this>?

maybe try reinstalling the game and/or directx?
