1 - not quite sure what you mean. You pick a planet using the system map (F5), decide whether you want to target the planet itself or its space station, then hit F9 to activate the autopilot. As long as you aren't attacked, or you don't get too close to a planet or something, it'll take you there and stop when it arrives. It's not clever enough to go round things. What else is there to say :)

2 - last time I was at Zoric there were freighters in stock. There are more cargo ship models than fighters as far as I know... maybe a more seasoned traveller can advise you

3 - there's a starport on every world. They don't always do very much but that's where you'll find them (big pudding shaped building with a big beam of light going up into space - can't miss 'em :)

pretty much every world is.
i think all running worlds have a spacestation with items to trade and buy.

if your trying to trade cash in at a starport, its kinda a waste of money.
trading cash in at a starport doesen't add to your galactic money.

The economy stuff doesn't really work like that any more, godless. Rough explanation: when mit first introduced the galactic economy, yes there were specific worlds which were part of that economy: basically, worlds that were balanced, offered fair gameplay etc etc.

On those worlds there was an exchange rate between planetary currency and galactic currency. This was set by the staff, so that - for example - 1000 sheckles = 1 cr; or 100 kudos = 1cr; or 500 kills = 1cr... this meant that lots of different worlds could potentially be part of the galactic economy and that to advance through the galaxy you had to compete and do well on lots of different worlds. And the way you exchanged your money/kudos/whatever for galactic credits was... at the starport.

It's a bit different now. Back then the trading stuff hadn't been written - since galactic trading has been up and running the old system has been abandoned, and starports don't really have a role in the galactic economy any more. instead we have space stations, and all the trading stuff you'll be familiar with.

There endeth the history lesson :)

It's just the space station, there's no special galactic economy you're missing out on. It's the trading stuff you've already been doing - that's it. That's the economy :)

You're just getting confused. Ignore the starports. There is only one galactic economy and all you can do is trade at space stations.

The Gal Prestige system isnt fully developed at the mo, so currently theres no way to earn prestige. This should be going again within the next couple of months, hopefully - theres not much work to do on it.. mostly just a matter of working out which planets should have which settings.

I guess his "it" was your "galactic economy" but there IS NOTHING ELSE as far as galactic credits go.

As for GPR... aha, well that's different, but that isn't what you originally asked :)

/edit - see above :)

He meant you should go to the side of the planet in space where the space station is located, so you can enter the space station.

You forgot one thing...You can also target those blue squares and have Auto Pliot drive you there...Those blue squares appear in F5 and they are stargates...SAVES YOU FUEL WOOT !:D
