Description:
Noticed three strange clumps likee so:

On closer inspection each clump is a fairly large asteroid field all orbiting what looks like a single point (the effect of which is quite a beguiling burbling one). Likee so:

ok:

- They oughta be there for you using the latest public client on the downloads page (asteroids were added sometime last year)

- They're pretty hard to find cos, well... they're asteroid shaped, asteroid coloured, and space is a pretty big place. I mean, you might think it's a long way to the shops but that's just peanuts compared to space (etc..) You can see where they are (very roughly) on the F5 system map - if you see a ring of dots around a star, different to the normal orbit path for a planet... that's asteroids. They're usually orbiting in the same rough plane as the planets are. However if the screenies I posted are true for lots of people you'll probably find it almost impossible to spot them cos they're all in the same place. Anyway that's where they're supposed to be.

- This is a bug report forum, please don't post stuff like this here :)

if you look in the system map, you'll see a randomly dotted oval line similer to the planet orbits. thats the asteroid belt.

Fixed 0.49.7, i believe. (Along with a small bunch of other memory leak-type things, the fixes for which should all make the game (and your PC.. after playing the game a bit.. ) just a bit less flaky in the long run).
