Have been keeping an eye out for GAL and STELLAR Freighters but seems there aren't any available, at least in the intial 6 systems I can reach using my Inflmp 24 drive. Any chance of some coming into stock?
Also how about an update on space piracy/ combat, I've only seen standard missles and countermeasures. A Pirate Ship should command the fear of god, not so yet. I want to capture, plunder and pillage other vessels, please advise.
On a side note, how fast are standard missles in relation to ship speed?
Avast

both sites contain some info on planets and, more importantly planet names - infimp around. you will find what you are looking for within a l24 jump of a named planet
Space trade thread is a good place to look for general trading tips - you may find it helpful

regarding pirating - tho all the stuff has been written for this now, i haven't activated it yet as i haven't had the time to attempt to even vaguely balance the setup. Work is taking all my time nd energy at the mo, but hopefully I will get chance to sort some stuff out for it within the next month.
Regarding missile speeds : all missiles use a cunning (and almost excessively fictional :]) propulsion method which allows them to always reach their destination after a fixed amount of time. (Don't even ask how that can be physically possible - its way too complicated to explain ;] ).
As mentioned elsewhere, ( http://theuniversal.net/forum/viewtopic ... 02&start=0 ) the emphasis for space combat is to make it practical in a gameplay sense, rather than as a straight, more physically accurate shoot-em up.
