zoric 11 details - NOW OPEN!!
zoric 11 details - NOW OPEN!!
zoric 11 will be coming out sooner due to the requests of many players.
here are some details:
2 main starting towns with a 10s teleport between them. they will be located on opposite corners of the map.
the map itself will be slightly larger then normal, it will consist of two large areas (which the main towns will be on), they will be flat around the outside with hills in the middle. the river in between the two large areas will be too wwide to jump accross in the fastest car.
as for vehicles, thier will be 3 cars, 3 trucks, 3 boats, and 6 planes. plus 1 car made by a gas station.
all vehicle industries are industrial type buildings.
thier will be a bunch of custom skills, like build manufacturing for manufacturing buildings, and build industrial for industrial buildings, and a bunch of custom job skills.
some buildings need a different skill to be built even though they aren't that type
skills will be in schools (duh) but instead of the normal method of adding skills to an empty school, the schools will be fixed and sell specific skills relating to certain types of buildings. one for agricultural, one for industrial, etc, etc.
farms will be different. thier are animal farms, but thiers no pigs, sheep, or cows. the animals are different. you'll have to play to find out what they are
most production buildings and some manufacturing buildings will have a small and large size. large size costing twice as much and produceing twice as fast, but only needing 1 more employee.
all plant related farms have a slow cheap version and an expensive fast version. the slow versions are practicly free, don't require any employees, and produce stuff for free. the larger buildings are 10x the price, 10x faster, hold 10x more, and require 1 or 2 emplyees.
as for employees, most buildings require 2 employees, vehicle related buildings require 3 employees, some buildings require none.
max buildings probably 30-50 buildings.
towns will be different as well. thier will be 4 different sized towns. thier will be limits to how many of each can be built, bigger the town = less allowed. amounts range from 3 of the largest towns to 20 of the smallest ones. total is about 48 towns.
thier will be many houses to choose from, 11 in fact. 10 regular houses that all cost the same but look different, and 1 mansion.
thier are also several other lil thingys i'm not gonna mention that you'll have to find out on your own

it is now open for playing.
ran into a few bugs though, but mostly its still fine and playable.
bugs are currently causing:
no longer haveing 4 different sized towns
no longer having a seperate Build Manufacturing skill
not able to set the models for buildings over 64 in the worlds building list, so in-game, industrial, and most manufacturing buildings appear as rubble or as nothing. as do most of the retail and all leisure types. but they all still work fine. the client also crashes while scrolling the construction menu sometimes.
Royalty Stuff
For your family to gain royalty on the island, you must do the following:
Build a running Nuclear Power Plant (means actually making it produce power)

that would be due to the 3rd bug in the list.
the 64 building limit when mit said he was raising it to 256 in feburary.
i think the crashing depends on how many buildings you scroll threw. not what ones are scrolled threw. you can login and scroll threw all of industrial buildings (which are all past #64 and wont show properly) without crashing, and then crash when scrolling threw the farms (which do display correctly) or the opposite way around.
