More interactive space combat

There should be space for a reason. I think it would be pretty cool to have a more interactive space combat. Maybe add weapons such as laser canons machine guns etc.
We already have space combat but its not all that great hardly any people are in the galaxy.

Machine Guns wouldn't work in space...they would just fly in a slow motion...Matrixy! Unless they were shot at a higher velocity...I think it would just cause dents.

I've seen 8 people in one star sytstem. Sure the lasers are useless now but I think the staff just maybe up to something...
