zmodeler noobleh needs help
im having problems with zmodeler and i dont get how texturize my models... someone help plz
Ok, you basically need to find out how to do 2 things in zmodeller: first, how to uvmap your model (telling zmodeller what shape your polys are so it knows how to lay them out on a flat plane); second, how to unwrap those polys onto a bitmap with your texture on. You might also have to do something with materials, I dunno. Try this:

okee doke. To texture a model you have to make a texture file (usually a 256x256 bitmap file containing necessary textures.) and insert it into the model either by pressing the shaded red circle button, pressing E, or clicking view>material editor, and click the boxy primary texture and press load texture. fidn the texture bitmap you made and press ok, and then ok in the materials window to get back to the main screen (the one with your model)
next you want to select the polies (triangles) that you want to have a certain texture, so press select (from the right menu) and choose quad (to make a box over a bunch of triangles and select all within the box), or single (to select one
'triangle' at a time), and press the SEL button near the bottom, SEL makes it so that you will be working with all of the 'triangles' you selected.
Now, using the RIGHT mouse button (unless your a lefty) select the triangles you want to texture, once selected, press the square button in the top left corner of any of the display windows, and select UV editor, here you SHOULD see your texture (some comps you cant). Press surface, mapping, assign UV and the polies you selected will show up in the uv editor, (if not, zoom out, sometimes a lot) from there you can rotate or move them so they are over the texture you want, you should be able to see the changes on the 3D display window.
Hope you got that all.
