Unfortunatly I dont know what name I used so I cannot request a reset. Can somebody tell me what I can do if anything?

delete tractor.cfx from your game folder and restart.. it should let you re-enter a new name.

(p.s. yah.. not exactly an intuitive system i know

a new dialog to deal with this will be in an updated version shortly)

Go to the directory you installed Universal (defaults to C:\Program Files\TheUniversal\).
Open the Clients folder. Select Tractor.cfx and hit delete.
Start the program and you will be asked for a nickname/password/username. Fill whatever you want to them. This will create a new user.

either (the easy way):
Right Click on the game link on your desktop, select Properties, click Find Target, in the window that pops up find and delete Tractor.cfx

or (the longer way qwerty suggested):
Click Start, double click My Computer, double click C drive, double click Program Files, double click The Universal, double click Clients, find and delete Tractor.cfx

OK I have deleted tractor.cfx but I am still being refused connection. This is getting very annoying. It says either the galaxy is not online or its my connection and to try again later. Any ideas?

could you tell use the username & nicknames you've logged in with pls? Its possible that while going thru this process the galaxy has ended up registering multiple usernames for your account. We'll delete these manually then you should be able to join.

It doesnt say that there is another user anymore.

Nickname: Kaiser_Dan
User: Supa_Playa

I've also used 2 by deleting tractor.cfx each time

Kaiser_Don
User: bluecard

Donovan_WFC
User: woking fan

I think there is another, Lord Donovan but I'm not certain. I dont know the user to this one.

Add Woking_FC to that, user is DanDonovan. I keep deleting tractor.cfx like you say, it asks me for new name and refuses me connection

Later when i try to connect again it says another name on this computer is registered this is very annoying.

In fact there may also be a nickname on there : cardinal_dan not sure if I registered it so..

mmm.... just to prove ive tried.. (including typos :] )

will need fooli to check the logs on this one (i'd check it myself but ive lost access to the gal server atm, sorry). I suggest not loggin in again till u hear back from us here, just to make sure any further logins dont confuse the situation further.
Should hear back from email within the next 12 hours or so, when it should be sorted.. Sorry for the delay.

There may not be a galaxy record because Ive never entered the galaxy

According to the galaxy you have... looks like a basic name/password mismatch.

I've wiped your record. Try now. And when u get in, make a note of the username and password (I recommend writing it backwards on your forehead or something, so u can just look in a mirror when u forget. Ie, don't forget it again :)

Post again if it works or doesn't work, pls.

I double click to open up the game and:- "Connection Refused" I say abort and it comes up with Adromeda the only galaxy so I click to connect. Says server cannot be found or something about my internet connection and try again later.
